The traffic movement in Dhaka became thin on Monday ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, which is set to be celebrated on Tuesday.

A large number of its citizens left for their roots to celebrate the Eid holiday. Consequently, the Dhaka streets have lost the usual look. The city traffic was almost thin as the homebound people started leaving the city since Friday.

The three-day public holiday marking the Eid-ul-Fitr began on Sunday. However, the movement of rickshaws, auto-rickshaws, and private vehicles was notable.
