Walton-BUET Premier League Football Season-5 kicks off

The Walton-BUET Premier League Football, Season-5, organised by Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) with the support of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, has officially started.
The competition was inaugurated on September 19, with Prof Mostafa Ali of BUET’s Department of Water Resources Engineering (DWURE) and Football Advisor, serving as the chief guest.
Walton Senior Deputy Director Imran Al Bari, Md. Sajjad Hossain, and other dignitaries were also present at the opening ceremony.
In the opening match, Santiago Bernabeu faced NR Warriors. However, the game ended in a goalless draw, with both teams sharing the points.
Nipun from NR Warriors was named the Man of the Match for his performance.
The 16-day tournament will continue until October 4, featuring five teams.
The competition will conclude on that day with the final match, followed by a closing and prize distribution ceremony.
Trophies and medals will be awarded to the champions, runners-up, and the third-placed team.
