Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi has said Bangabandhu's dream must be realised by transforming the grief of August 15 into strength.
The minister who is currently visiting USA, said the brutal historic murder could only be hit back by building this nation into Bangabandhu-dreamt Sonar Bangla, a happy, prosperous, modern, and advanced country.
“The assassins wanted to take the country backward by killing Bangabandhu, and they used that slogan through propaganda that day. But the motives of the assassins have not been successful. Justice was served in Bangabandhu murder case and that Bangladesh is moving fast to realise his dream,” said the commerce minister.
Tipu’s observation came at a discussion meeting virtually organised by the Commerce Ministry on Sunday (Bangladesh Standard Time) to mark the martyrdom anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
He said Bangabandhu has left us but we are still having his ideals. “By following those ideals, we would be working towards making Bangladesh a Golden Bengal.”
