‘Digital Bangladesh Day’ being celebrated today

The “Digital Bangladesh Day” is being celebrated across the country today (Thursday).
The theme of this year is: “Verify the accuracy before sharing on the Internet”.
The Posts and Telecommunications Division has taken different programmes to mark the day. In this regard, major streets of Dhaka have also been decorated with festoons, banners and posters.
As part of celebrating the day, a rally will be brought out from the National Press Club at 2pm. After parading through different streets, the rally will end at the GPO intersection.
In addition, Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar will address a seminar at the auditorium of the division as the chief guest.
On December 12, 2017, the day was observed as the National Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Day.
The Cabinet renamed the day as the Digital Bangladesh Day on November 26 last year.
