Shyam Sunder Sikder new BTRC Chairman

Former senior secretary Shyam Sunder Sikder has been appointed as the new chairman of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) for the next three years.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notice on Monday in this regard, mentioning the order will come into effect immediately.

Shyam Sunder, who replaces Md Jahirul Haque, retired as a senior secretary of the Post and Telecommunications Division earlier this year.

Before that he was the secretary of the ICT division.
