Int’l Migration Day to be observed virtually in Ctg tomorrow

The International Migration Day 2020 will be observed in Chattogram virtually on Friday.

The Chattogram office of the Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET) under the Ministry of Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment will celebrate the day with the slogan “Mujib Borsher Ahaban, Dokhoo hoye Bidesh Jan” (In this Mujib year, go abroad with skill), said a press release.

The day will start with a virtual discussion on “Perspective and responsibility of migration during the time of Covid-19” followed by a quiz competition among the children of migrant employees and the prize-giving ceremony.

Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram M Illius Hossain will attend the event as the chief guest with BMET Deputy Director for Chittagong zone M Jahirul Alam in the chair. 

Superintendent of Police of Chattogram SM Rashidul Haq will be present as a special guest.
