To each their own religion, but festival for everyone: PM on Christmas

Noting that religion belongs to the respective individual while festivals are for all, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the constitution of Bangladesh gives equal rights to people of all religions and castes and the country is a safe haven for everyone. 

In her message to the Christian community, she said that one of the vows of Jesus Christ was to establish a society free from exploitation by establishing justice and peace in the world. He sacrificed himself for the poor and starving people while his ideal lifestyle and strict characteristic remain still immortal in human history. 

Mentioning the Covid-19 outbreak, the premier urged everyone to celebrate Christmas by maintaining proper health rules this time.
