PM to inaugurate ‘Dhrubatara’, Biman’s new Dash 8-400, today

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will officially inaugurate the brand new first Dash 8-400 'Dhrubatara', the latest addition to the fleet of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, on Sunday (today).
She will virtually join the event to be held at 11am at the VVIP terminal of the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, reads a press release.
Among the three Dash 8-400 aircrafts purchased on a G2G basis between the Bangladesh and Canada, the first one is the ‘Dhrubatara’.
Manufactured by the renowned Canadian aircraft maker de Havilland, the 74-seater Dash 8-400, the aircraft is environmentally friendly and has cutting edge facilities.
With the addition of the new aircraft, the total number of existing aircraft in the fleet is 19, including 4 Boeing 777-300ER, 4 Boeing 787-8, 2 Boeing 787-9, 6 Boeing 737 and 3 Dash 8-400 aircraft.
