The government has decided to go for launching mobile courts in Dhaka immediately forcing people to wear mask to contain the further spread of coronavirus during its second possible wave in the upcoming winter season.

The government is going take hardline to contain the spread of coronavirus and it is going to launch mobile court in Dhaka in a day or two to create awareness of wearing mask, Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam, said today.

Anwarul Islam exposed the government’s decision while addressing a press conference after ending the regular weekly cabinet meeting this afternoon. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting virtually from her official residence Gono Bhaban.

“The concerned people were told yesterday in this regard and the mobile courts will begin their drives in a day or two,” the cabinet secretary said.

The number of infection from coronavirus is increasing and thus all people have been asked to be prepared to contain the spread of the virus, he added.

The meeting also on principle approved the draft of the national financing strategy to bring all concerned people under the preview of institutional financing account, he said.

Approval on a draft of a deal to be signed between Bangladesh and Turkey was also given during the meeting, the government high official said.
