PM to address the nation on Saturday evening

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will address the nation on Saturday evening on the occasion of the Armed Force Day 2020.

Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Betar and private television channels will broadcast the address around 7:00pm after garnering link from Sangsad TV channel, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release today.

Bangladesh Armed Forced was formed with the combined forces of Bangladesh army, navy and air force in November 21, 1971 and since then, the day has been observing with due festivity.

Vehicular movement will be suspended in and around the Dhaka cantonment area on November 21 on this occasion, ISPR said in the press release.

In another notification, the ISPR said President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will pay tributes at the altar of Shikha Anirban (eternal flame) at Dhaka Cantonment on that day showing respect to the martyred members of Bangladesh Armed Forces.

Drivers of all modes of transports, except those residing inside the cantonment area, have been asked not to ply their vehicles in the cantonment area from 7:00am to 9:00am on November 21 to avoid traffic jam.
