Fakhrul’s statements are contradictory: Information Minister

Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud said that the statements made by Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul are contradictory, and it’s necessary to find out the reasons behind such statements. 

He made the remark while virtually attending an event commemorating the recently passed away former Deputy Speaker Col (retd) Shawkat Ali on Friday. The event was jointly organised by Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote and Janatar Prattasa at the national press club.

“Mirza Fakhrul is saying that the government is behaving one-sided. He is then saying that it is not clear whether there is a government in the country or not,” Hasan Mahmud said. 

The information minister further warned that there have been conspiracies going on against the development of the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. 

Dr Hasan further hoped for the BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi to get well soon and the wellbeings of Mirza Fakhrul. He requested BNP to find out the reasons behind Mirza Fakhrul’s contradictory statements.
