Dhaka (Oct 22, 2020): bKash, the country's largest mobile financial service provider, has donated 10 ventilators to the Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka to facilitate treatment to the people infected with Covid-19.

The donation is a part of bKash’s continuous efforts to support the government and leading hospitals in fighting against the pandemic of coronavirus, said a press release today.

The ventilators will be used for the treatment of both serving and retired army personnel and their family members and the important citizens of the country.

The mobile financing service also donated 14 ventilators to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and Dhaka Shishu Hospital and installed oxygen plant at Diabetic Hospital to make its efforts a success.

Kamal Quadir, CEO of bKash, handed over the ventilators to Major General Enayet Ullah, adjutant general of Bangladesh Army at the Army Headquarters today.

Earlier, bKash handed over 50 ventilators and around 650,000 emergency health toolkits donated by Alibaba Foundation and Jack Ma Foundation to the prime minister’s relief fund.

bKash also provided food aid to 5,000 families under the supervision of Sena Kalyan Sangstha (SKS) amid the pandemic of coronavirus.
