Depression intensifies, rainfalls likely to continue for 24 hours

A light to moderate rain, accompanied by thundershowers and temporary gusty wind is likely to continue for the next two days in most of Bangladesh with the depression formed in the Bay of Bengal intensifying further, Bangladesh Meteorological Department said on Thursday.
The rain is likely to continue in most places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, Sylhet division and in some places in Rangpur.
Met Office advised hoisting local cautionary signal number 3 to maritime ports of Mongla, Payra, Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar.
All of the fishing boats over the northern bay was also advised to remain close to the coast.
The day temperature may fall by 1-2 degree celsius due to the continuous rainfall all over the country. The night temperature may also fall slightly.
