Sharmin elected as Inner Wheel national representative of Bangladesh

Sharmin Hossain has been elected as the national representative for Bangladesh at Inner Wheel (IW) for the year 2020-21. She is the former district chairman of IW District 345, Bangladesh.
This was formally announced by International Inner Wheel President Bina Vyas, following approval at the International Inner Wheel (IIW) board meeting, held recently, reads a press release.
Sharmin joined the Inner Wheel in 2002 and was one of the charter members of Inner Wheel Club of Dilkusha.
She served IW District 345 in various capacities, including chairman for the year 2017-18. She also served as deputy national representative of Bangladesh for the year 2019-20.
Inner Wheel is the largest international women's voluntary organisation, contributing to international friendship and understanding.
In recognition of its social services, it got representative status in the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
There are more than 108,000 Inner Wheel members worldwide spread across 103 countries worldwide.
Inner Wheel in Bangladesh consists of two districts — IWD 345 and IWD 328 — having a total membership of almost 4,000.
