Covid-19: 32 more die, 1,355 infected in last 24hrs

Dhaka (Dec13, 2020): Bangladesh recorded 32 more deaths and 1,355 fresh cases of infection from coronavirus at different parts across the country in the last 24 hours ending 8:00am on Sunday.
With the latest number of fatality, the total death toll rose to 7,052 while the number of infection reached 4, 90, 533, said a press statement of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Around 12,748 samples were tested at different government authorised laboratories during the time and 10.63 percent of samples found positive in the test, the DGHS said in the statement.
At the same time, around 3,393 people who were undergoing treatment with Covid-19 infection at different hospitals were discharged, pushing the total number of recovery to 4, 20, 896, it said.
According to the DGHS statics, the recovery rate reach 85.85 percent while the death rate 1.44 percent.
Besides, the recovery rate was 85.35 percent while the death rate was 1.44 percent yesterday.
In Bangladesh, the first coronavirus case was detected on March 8 and the first death case was recorded just after 10 days of the same month.
