The University of Chittagong, one of the centres of this year’s Dhaka University admission test, is going to provide shuttle train services for the applicants taking part in the examinations starting on Friday.
The shuttle train will leave Bottoli station of the port city for the university campus at 8:15 am and will come back at 1:45 pm on the test days, the university sources said.
“We have already completed all the necessary preparation to take the DU admission tests,” Dr Rabiul Hasan Bhuyian, proctor of Chittagong University, has said.
He told the Business Insider Bangladesh that all the administrative work, classes and department examinations of their university will remain suspended during the DU admission test.
About 200 policemen will be deployed to ensure the security measures at the centre, he informed.
To ease hassles, and avoid mass gathering amid the Covid-19 situation, the University of Dhaka is taking this year’s admission test in divisional headquarters, setting up centres in leading universities there.
A total of 28,469 applicants from the Chattoram division are going to sit for the Dhaka University admission tests.
Of them, some 11,194 applicants will compete for the A-unit (science), 2,846 for B-unit (arts), 3,555 for C-unit (commerce), 9,880 for D-Unit (common), and 1,000 for F-unit (fine arts).
