Bangladesh reported 25 deaths from Covid-19 and 1,318 fresh Covid-19 cases on Friday.
With this, the number of positive cases rose to 498,293 and the number of deaths reached 7,217, said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The fatality rate from Covid-19 in Bangladesh currently stands at 1.45 percent.
DGHS further said that 2,024 patients have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours. The total number of recovered patients so far is 433,614 – which is 87.01 percent of the total infected.
According to the Worldometer data, 75,371,570 cases of coronavirus have been detected worldwide. The number of deaths reached 1,670,455 and 52,928,369 recovered from the virus.
The website further projects that there are currently 20,772,746 active cases of Covid-19 across the globe. 99.5 percent of the patients are in mild condition, while only half a percent is in critical condition.
The US is the country with most numbers of Covid-19 positive cases, followed by India, Brazil, Russia, France and Turkey.
