Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members have held five fake RAB members from Gazipur.
The elite force also recovered RAB jackets, identity cards and RAB uniforms, said RAB on Tuesday during a press conference at its Kawran Bazar media centre.
Receiving several allegations of being robbed by the law enforcers, the RAB started thorough investigation on the matter. Accordingly, RAB arrested the five people on Tuesday morning from Kunia Barabari area under Gacha police station of Gazipur municipality.
The arrestees are – Md Nazmul Hossain, Md Nahid Hasan, Md Tazul Islam, Md Suman Miah, and Suchitra Robidas.
Two toy guns, two holsters, two fake RAB jacket, four fake RAB identity cards, among others, were recovered from under their possession.
The arrested admitted their guilt during the primary interrogation. Legal measures were underway against them, RAB said.
