Padma Bridge’s 5, 250 meters now visible

Dhaka (Oct 31, 2020): The 35th span of Padma multipurpose bridge was installed today, bringing a total of 5, 250 meters of the structure now visible.

The span was installed between pillars eight and nine at Mawa point around 2:45pm, said an official of the project.

The 34th span of the bridge was installed on October 25.

The other spans will be installed on the pillars of the bridge on November 5 and 6 and the rest spans are expected to be installed by December 10, this year, said the official.

A total of 42 pillars are being constructed for the 6.15km long two-storey Padma Bridge.
