Biman to operate Dhaka-Toronto direct flights from Mar 26

Biman Bangladesh Airlines is going to launch its maiden direct flight on Dhaka-Toronto route from March 26, the Independence Day of Bangladesh.

Mahbub Ali, state minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism, said while addressing a programme in Dhaka on Friday.

The decision is almost at the final stage in this regard, the junior minister said, adding that the government is working to operate direct flights on the Dhaka-New York route and the negotiation is in progress.

Apart from this, the issue of operating flights between Bangladesh and Japan has already been shuttled but the activities remained stopped due to the outbreak of coronavirus, Ali said.
