President, PM mourn death of Justice Shahabuddin Ahmed

President M Abdul Hamid on Saturday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of former president and Chief Justice Shahabuddin Ahmed.

In a condolence message, the head of the state prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Shahabuddin Ahmed breathed his last at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka around 10:25am.

Ex-President Ahmed had been suffering from old age complications for a long time.

Besides, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also mourned death of former president Justice Shahabuddin Ahmed.

In her condolence message, she expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of late president and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
