Poster of Bangabandhu biopic unveiled

Indian filmmaker Shyam Benegal has unveiled the poster of his upcoming biopic feature titled “Mujib - The Making of a Nation”.

It is an India-Bangladesh co-production on the life of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the nation of Bangladesh. The film, extensively shot in India and Bangladesh, was wrapped up in December 2021.

The movie also stars Nusrat Imrose Tisha, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Chanchal Chowdhury, Nusraat Faria in pivotal roles.

The film is written by Atul Tiwari and Shama Zaidi. The line producer of the film is Satish Sharma, the action direction is done by Sham Kaushal, the editor is Aseem Sinha, the Associate Director of the film is Dayal Nihalani, costume designer is Pia Benegal.

Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Vikram Kumar Doraiswami on Friday posted the poster in a tweet saying, “Announced, in the #monthofvictory of #Bangladesh , the poster of the joint India- Bangladesh biopic on #Bangabandhu by the preeminent director @ShyamBenegal . Thanking Doraiswami, Bangladesh’s foreign ministry retweeted the post saying, “The most awaited movie on #Bangabandhu. A historic collaboration between Bangladesh and India.
