Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Vice Chancellor Prof Md Sharfuddin Ahmed warned that the authorities would take stern action against those who will remain absent and found negligent with their duties.
“We will take tough action against those who will remain absent from office and show negligence towards their duties. If necessary, we will dismiss them from jobs,” Sharfuddin Ahmed told reporters on Wednesday.
Calling upon all specialised doctors of the university to remain on call, he said all people, who are now working at the hospital, will have to play their respective roles sincerely by upholding their responsibilities.
He came up with the call after installation of two automated attendance monitoring and security doors at C and D blocks of the hospital in the afternoon.
Earlier in the day, he held a meeting with respective chairman of all the departments of the BSMMU and discussed several issues including marking the inauguration day of Padma Bridge on June 25.
