Phones, headphones, keys, cash and umbrellas are the most frequently left behind items reported by Uber riders in Bangladesh.
Uber on Monday released the sixth edition of its Lost and Found Index for 2022, with a snapshot of last year’s most frequently forgotten items, the hours of the day, days of the week, and times of the year in Bangladesh.
The index found that Fridays and Sundays were the most common days to report lost phones, especially during the post-lunch lazy hours between 2pm to 4pm.
March 30 was the most forgetful day last year with maximum reported instances. Bangladeshis were most forgetful on Fridays last year and were most forgetful at around 4pm.
People are most likely to forget their headphones on Saturdays, cash on Mondays, and bags on Thursdays.
Last year’s most forgetful days were March 30, June 19, March 25, March 28, and November 18 respectively.
Armanur Rahman, head of Bangladesh & East India, Uber, said, “At Uber, we are customer-obsessed and the Lost and Found Index allows us an opportunity to educate our riders in a fun, yet informative manner about Uber’s in-app options. It’s available to riders at the tap of a button, in case they lose or forget something during their rides.”
