Members of the Bangladesh Army, Navy and other law enforcement agencies were deployed to help the flood-hit people in Sylhet district and its adjoining areas on Friday.
A number of army personnel were deployed in Sylhet to tackle the worsening situation, said Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Friday.
The deployment comes following a request from the civil administration, according to the ISPR.
