Sikder Group chairman dies at 91

Sikder Group Chairman Zainul Haque Sikder died in a hospital in Dubai on Wednesday. He was 91.

Sikder, on the renowned industrialists in the country, was born on August 12 in 1930. He established a large number of business ventures in the fields of education, health, housing and tourism and employed about 20,000 people in the last seven decades, said a press release.

Sikder, also a freedom fighter, was one of the close associates of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the release added.
