The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations will be held two weeks after giving new text books among the flood affected students, Education Minister Dipu Moni said on Wednesday.
However, the education minister did not mention and date about when the books will be distributed among the flood-hit students.
Dipu Moni was talking to reporters at a press conference held at her ministry office in Dhaka this afternoon.
“This year’s flood has washed away books of many students. We are assessing the loss, we will give them new books and will print new books if necessary then we will take the SSC examinations,” she said.
About the closure of educational institutions amid the surge of coronavirus, she said the government has not yet made any decision of keeping the educational institutions close in the present context.
