2 detained with 2.5kg gold at Dhaka airport

The Airport Armed Police on Thursday detained two passengers and seized 2.50 kilograms of gold from their possessions at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
The Airport Armed Police on Thursday detained two passengers and seized 2.50 kilograms of gold from their possessions at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
The detainees — Suman Mia, 41, and Touhidul Islam, 39 — landed at the airport around 1:30pm from Jeddah, the police said.
The police detained them when they were passing through the outgoing terminal of the airport suspiciously.
The value of the seized gold is estimated at Tk 1.50 crore.
