The members of Shiite community in the capital brought out a procession marking the holy Ashura.

Tuesday is the 10th day of the month of Muharram in the Hijri calendar and the day is a public holiday in Bangladesh.

The main procession was brought out at 10 am from Imambara Hussaini Dalan in Old Dhaka. Hundreds of people took part in the procession that marched through different streets.
