BRT girder collapse: PM mourns deaths

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of five people by falling down of a BRT's girder on a car in the city’s Uttara.

In a condolence message, the prime minister prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family, reports BSS.

A total of five people including a minor boy and girl in a car were crushed to death and injured another two after a segment of a girder of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project fell on the vehicle in Uttara area around 4:30pm.

The premier also prayed for a quick recovery of the injured people.
