People pay homage to Gazi Mazharul Anwar

Legendary cultural personality Gazi Mazharul Anwar received homage from people of all strata after his body was brought to the Central Shaheed Minar in the capital on Monday morning.
At the Shaheed Minar, a smart contingent of Bangladesh police gave him a guard of honour.
At around 12.30pm, his body was taken to the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) for the first namaz-e-janaza. The second namaz-e-janaza was held at the Channel I headquarters.
He will be buried at Banani graveyard after his third namaz-e-janaza in Gulshan Azad Mosque.
Gazi Mazharul Anwar passed away on Sunday. He was 79. In his career, spanning over the past six decades, he has written over 20,000 songs.
In 2002, he received the Ekushey Padak and won the National Film Award five times.
