Syed Abul Maqsood dies at 74

Syed Abul Maqsood
Prominent journalist, columnist, researcher and writer Syed Abul Maqsood has passed away. He was 74.
Abul Maqsood started to have respiratory problems at around 7:00pm and was taken to Square Hospital at around 7:00pm, where he was declared dead, his son Syed Nasif Maqsood said.
Dr Faisal Hoque, emergency resident medical officer of Square Hospital, said that the noted columnist had died before being taken to the hospital.
Abul Maqsood was awarded the Bangla Academy Medal in 1995 for his special contribution to Bangla literature.
