Golden Jubilee celebration of Jubo League: PM to address a huge gathering

Awami Jubo League, commonly known as Jubo League, is marking its golden jubilee with a grand rally in the city’s historic Suhrawardy Udyan on Friday.
It was seen thousands of Jubo League activists started gathering at the venue where Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to address the rally as the chief guest at 2-30pm.
Jubo League is the first youth organisation founded by Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani in line with the direction of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman through a youth convention at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh on November 11, 1972.
The organisation was established to involve the youths in the struggle for establishing a non-communal, democratic and exploitation-free Bangladesh.
A group of Jubo League leaders and activists were seen gathering in the Karwan Bazar area around 10 and were heading towards the meeting venue wearing blue T-shirts, holding placards, festoons and banners and chanting slogans like Joy Bangla and Joy Bangabandhu.
On Wednesday, Jubo League Chairman Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash, while addressing a press conference at Awami League’s central office on Bangabandhu Avenue, expressed hope that Suhrawardy Udyan will become a sea of people during the grand rally.
