More students get GPA 5

No matter how the coronavirus pandemic has affected the education system in Bangladesh, students earning the highest grade of GPA 5 have increased significantly across the country in this year's SSC and equivalent examinations.
A total of 2,67,602 students secured GPA 5 this year, which is 86,00 more than last year.
Meanwhile, 148,446 female students got GPA 5, compared to 121,156 male students.
Altogether 87.44 percent of candidates obtained passing grades in the SSC and equivalent examinations in 2022, while it was 93.58 percent in 2021.
Education Minister Dipu Moni disclosed the data in a media briefing on Monday noon marking the publishing of this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations results.
