1,76,282 students secure GPA-5 in HSC, equivalent exams

A total of 1,76,282 students got the highest Grade Point Average (GPA-5) in this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate ( HSC) and its equivalent examinations in 2022 under 11 education boards across the country.

Among the GPA-5 holders, 80,561 are male students and 95,721 are female, Education Minister Dipu Moni unveiled the date at a press conference held in Dhaka on Wednesday.

Besides, a total of 9,423 students achieved the GPA-5 under the madrasah education board and 7,104 under the technical education board in the examinations, she said.

A total of 85.95 percent of students passed Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations across the country.

This year’s pass rate in HSC examinations is 84.31 percent, madrasa examinations 92.56 percent and vocational examinations 94.41 percent.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina unveiled the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations results on Wednesday.

Later, the chairmen of 11 education boards - nine general boards, one madrasah education board and one technical education board - handed over their respective boards’ results to the premier

Secondary and Higher Education Division Secretary Suleman Khan conducted the result handover function.

Educational institutions can download the result sheets clicking the result corner in www.dhakaeducationboard.gov.bd website by using EIIN.

Results can also be downloaded from www.educationboardresults.gov.bd writing roll number and registration number.

Besides, students will be able to collect their result through sending SMS to 16222 and for this, they will need to write first HSC, board's name (first three letters), roll number and year (for example: HSC Dha 123456 2022).

The HSC and equivalent examinations were held between November 6 and December 22 in 2022.

A total of 1,203,407 examinees appeared in the examinations.
