Severe heat wave grips some parts of country

Severe heat wave is sweeping over a number of district while mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping elsewhere over the country and it may continue.
“Severe heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Dhaka, Faridpur, Manikganj, Pabna, Bagerhat, Jashore, Chuadanga and Kushtia. Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping elsewhere over the country and it may continue”, said a met office forecast for the next 24 hours from 9 on Sunday morning.
Trough of Westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area. Seasonal low lies over South Bay.
Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, it said, adding that day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.
Country’s maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded 42.2 degree Celsius at Chuadanga and minimum temperature today was recorded 19.4 degrees Celsius at Syedpur.
The sun sets at 6:20pm on Sunday and rises at 5:36am on Monday in the capital.
