PM mourns death of veteran politician Pankaj Bhattacharya

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Pankaj Bhattacharya, one of the organisers of the country’s Liberation War.

Pankaj, who was the President of Oikya NAP, breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital Dhaka around 12:25 am. He was 83.

In a message of condolence, she prayed for the salvation of his departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
