Language hero Abdul Hakim no more

Comrade Abdul Hakim, one of the Language Movement heroes of 1952 and one of the organisers of the War of Liberation, passed away at this own residence at Ghior upazila in Manikganj early Sunday. He was 87.

Comrade Hakim, joined the Language Movement while he was a student of Teroshree KN Institution. Later, he took part in the War of Liberation in 1971 as an organiser.

In his career, Comrade Hakim retired as the head teacher of Teroshree KN Institution.

He left behind two daughters and a son to mourn his death.

His janaza was held at 2:00pm on Monday on the DN Pilot High School premises of Ghior.
