Joypurhat madrasa teacher held for sexually harassing 4 students

Dhaka (Oct 19, 2020): Police last night arrested a madrasa teacher from Joypurhat Sadar Upazila in connection with a case filed for sexually harassing four of his students.

Police arrested Abdur Rashid, 45, a teacher of a local madrasa, from his house at Muzahidpur village under the upazila, according to an officer of the local police station.

The case statement said, after ending their classes, Rashid took four girls students to his room and harassed them sexually.

As the girls started screaming, local rushed to the spot and rescued them but Rashid managed to flee the spot, according to the case statement.

Later, a father of one of the victims filed the case against Rashid.
