Death threat to Shakib: Accused Mohsin arrested in Sunamganj

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) today claimed to have arrested the man who issued death threat to ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan in a Facebook live event on November 15.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Rab-9 carried out raids at different places in Dakhin Sunamganj upazila and arrested Mohsin Talukdar, 25, from Ronoshi village around 11:15am, Assistant Superintendent of Police Samiul Ahmed, also media officer of the Rab-9 team, confirmed it.

Police filed a case against Mohsin with Jalalabad Police Station in Sylhet under the Digital Security Act last night, according to Okil Uddin, officer-in-charge of the police station.

The accused went on hiding soon after the video went viral on Monday afternoon, the OC said.
