Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque on Wednesday said the government will fix the charges of services provided by private hospitals, health clinics and diagnostic centres.
“The private health facilities will be put under different categories; in this regard, a high-powered committee will be formed soon,” said the minister.
The ministry will decide the next course of action after the committee’s report, he added.
Health minister was speaking at a review meeting at the Secretariat on the services provided by private hospitals, diagnostic centres and clinics, reads a press release.
On behalf of the private hospitals, President of the Bangladesh Medical Association Mubin Khan drew the health minister’s attention toward centralising waste management from clinics, and the minister agreed to the idea.
To tackle the second wave of coronavirus, the minister also sought cooperation from private hospitals and clinics.
