BAF aircraft leaves to bring vaccine from China

A cargo aircraft of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) left Dhaka on Tuesday morning to bring five lakhs vaccine gifted by Sinopharm, China.
The C-130J flight left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 8am, said Md Nur Islam, assistant director of inter-service public relation, in a press release.
Besides, Health Minister Zahid Malek said in a programme that the official work is underway between the two countries on the purchase of Sinopharm vaccines.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen said that the government wants to buy four to five crore doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Earlier, the Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh announced that 5 lakh doses of Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine will reach Bangladesh on Wednesday as a special gift.
