Indian citizen arrested at Panchagarh border

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel have arrested an Indian citizen in the Chaklahat border area of Panchagarh district on charges of trespassing into Bangladesh territory.

According to police and BGB, Shambhu Bhuiyan,40, a resident of India’s Gourabpur village in Hazaribagh district, was arrested at Kahruhat Bazar for entering Bangladesh without any legal documents of visit.  

He was handed over to Panchagarh Sadar police station.  

The Officer-in-Charge of the police station said the arrestee will be produced before a court on Sunday.
