Says fisheries and livestock minister at a prize-giving ceremony

Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim on Tuesday said the government is relentlessly working to build a science- and technology-based society.
Science and technology have transformed the world into a global village, he said, adding that Bangladesh had made significant strides in these areas.
The minister made the comments while speaking as the chief guest at a prize-giving ceremony on Pirojpur Sadar Upazila Parishad premises. The local upazila administration organised the event marking the 42nd National Science and Technology Week 2020 and also the 5th National Science Olympiad 2020, reads a press release.
Today’s young scientists will be the best scientists in future, said the minister, adding that these bright souls would lead the nation forward.
If the love for science is instilled in the kids’ minds, they will create wonderful things in the days to come, he added.
Root-level government officials and local Awami League leaders joined the programme, with Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Bashir Ahmed in the chair.
