Covid-19: 35 die, 2525 infected in Bangladesh

Bangladesh reported 35 deaths in the past 24 hours till 8:00am today, taking the country's total fatalities to 6,644.

In the same period, some 2525 people tested positive for the virus, taking the number of confirmed cases to 4, 64,932, said a press release of the Directorate General of Health Services.

The death rate from the virus stands at 1.43 percent while the infection rate 16.43, the press statement said.

Around 15, 372 samples were tested at different government authorized laboratories across the country during the same time.

A total of 2,539 patients recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 3, 80,711 and the recovery rate is 81.89 at percent.
