DSCC forms 10 teams to clean city during 3-day Eid

The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has formed 10 cleaning teams to wash away waste of sacrificial animals in its constituency within three days into the Eid festival.

The DSCC also established a dedicated cell to oversee the waste management activities. City dwellers will be able to avail the services, if needed, by ringing 01709900888, said a press release.

“The people of the 10 teams will lend their hands to clean the waste in line with directives of the city corporation,” reads the press release.

A total of 90 general trucks, 53 compactors, 12 water lorries, 102 dumpster trucks, 14 pay loaders, 81 container carriers and a number of vehicles would be deployed to make the city clean.

Some 10,000 cleaning workers will be employed to make the drive a success, the release added.
