DNCC mayor for increasing holding tax collection

Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor (DNCC) Barrister Fazle Noor Taposh asked his organisation officials to increase their efforts in holding tax collection.
The mayor came up with the call while addressing the half-yearly conference of the corporation’s revenue department on Thursday.
“There is a big portion of households out of our list, from those we must ensure our tax,” Taposh said.
On trade license, he said, so far the corporation issued 2,32,000 trade licenses. “But I am sure there are at least 2,00,000 more businesses having no license,” he added.
“We must ensure their license too,” the mayor said.
Top officials of DNCC were present at the event.
