The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Wednesday arrested film actress Pori Moni on a charge of possessing foreign liquor.
A RAB team conducted a raid at her Banani residence and recovered a huge amount of foreign liquor from the house.
The law enforcers started the raid around 4:15pm on a charge of her alleged involvement in running a drug racket.
Later, they detained her with a huge amount of foreign liquor and unearthed a bar inside the house.
The raid was conducted after the arrests of expelled Awami League leader Helana Zahangir, and models Faria Mahbub Piass and Mariam Akthar Mou on different charges including their alleged indulgence in running the drug racket.
The Dhallywood actress on June 14 filed a sexual assault complaint against six people, including businessman Nasir U Mahmud with Savar Model Police Station. Later in the day, Nasir and four others were arrested.
Earlier, Pori Moni on her verified Facebook page, uploaded a status seeking justice from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, claiming that the six people attempted to rape and kill her.
