BFIU seeks bank account details of Pori Moni, Helena Jahangir

Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has asked all banks to send account information of actress Pori Moni and suspended Awami League leader Helena Jahangir.
BFIU sent letters to banks in this regard on Wednesday, an official of BFIU confirmed it to the Business Insider Bangladesh.
The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Pori Moni on August 4 along with illicit drugs and liquor, while Helena Jahangir was arrested on 29 July.
Meanwhile, BFIU on the same day also sought bank account information of Prothom Alo’s senior reporter Rozina Islam.
On May 17 this year Rozina, an investigative reporter, was kept confined in a room of the health ministry for six hours on allegations that she took photos of some important government documents. Later, she was handed over to Shahbag Police Station. She got bail after a week.
