Bangladesh reports 24 deaths, 2,252 new cases of Covid-19

Bangladesh on Friday reported 24 deaths and 2,252 new cases of Covid-19.
With this, 6,772 have died from the virus in the country so far, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) this afternoon.
Besides, the number of infection, with the latest tally, stood at 473,991.
In the last 24 hours, 15,430 samples were tested at the government authorised laboratories across the country.
Meanwhile, 2,572 people, who were undergoing treatment at different hospitals, were discharged after recovering from the virus.
In Bangladesh, the first coronavirus case was detected on March 8 and the first death case was recorded just after 10 days of the same month.
